Mike is very undecided and also very childish.

But Chester can't resist to him! He loves him too much.

I am so glad you described more about Anna, until now she seemed more like a passing character but I feel a deeper "connection" with her life now since you wrote about her a little better. Loved Joe here, he's one of my favorites and it was so realistic, this story is insanely realistic in everything. I love it so much.

I am so sorry for missing too many chapters. Firstly the slash was H.O.T. Amazing. But I was caught off guard with Mike's reaction afterward. I'm still a bit confused why he's pushing Chester away.

I love Joe's day with the kids. He has the patience of a saint. It's sweet that he's spending time with his friends' kids. I hope they'll get onw of their own in this fic.

*gasp*

She sperm-jacked him! That's like one of the cardinal sins against trust in a relationship. Ugh. I get how she could feel completely hopeless because Mike would never be "ready" and such, but if he's not ready, she can't force him to suddenly be ready. That's a recipe for disaster, and as we know from the previous chapters, it's working out just that way.

I can also much better understand Mike feeling indignation about being a parent. Of course that's not Otis' fault, and he shouldn't have to suffer for it, but there are always victims in such things.

What a mess.

I like Anna's strong friendship with Lindsey though. It's good she had someone to turn to. Sometimes you need another girl to talk to when things like that happen.

I hope Joe and Heidi will get their own munchkin by the end of the story :) I think it's awesome that they're trying to "practice" first. Of course, there's no amount of practice that can prepare you for what being a parent is really like. Once it's your own child, it's a game changer.

Love the story, can't wait to read more :) and when I say "more" I mean I can't wait to see the rest of what happens between Mike and Chester in that horrible moment in which you left us last time.

I think Anna and Mike have a lot of problems, their relationship is very complicated.

The reaction of Mike is really insensitive but Anna has decided on HER own and this is not a good thing. You can not force someone to do the parent even if later he will love his child.

I do not understand Anna, is she at the door of Joe?

I'd like to focus on that because I know it might feel uncertain once you post it but believe me I'm amazed. It was perfect in every way and you combined feelings with physical contact, just perfect. I was upset over Mike's upset-ness after their moment together. How un-fun is that? Have sex with a long lost lover for the first time in a decade, and it ends with an argument. It was just sad.

But then Mike comes out and admits that....jeeez.

Loved it. Can't wait to see what happens :D

p.s. and it was harsh, Mike bringing up Chester always being the "victim" ..you know? It was like, man, you really don't need to go there. But he did. Of course. Because he's Mike.

The final fight was very moving, I think they have many problems.

Chester was really freaking out over the kids there for a bit, which I can totally relate to. I've been in those moments where you're stressed and tired and anxiety-ridden and you start to make no sense as you yell at everyone. He needed a break, so it's good Joe showed up.

I like seeing Mike being so supportive of Chester not using. And I love how you keep bringing it up that it's happened all like this once before and now it's starting over again.

I do hope Mike will gain some parenting skillz from all this though. It's really unfortunate that he's been in the background of Otis' life all this time, rather than front and center, where he should be.

Can't wait to read more :)

Whoop! Made it to chapter 7 :D

I feel accomplished.

So Mike and Chester have this past between them. That can be such a hard thing to "forget" about. I can see where, with Talinda up and leaving, Chester could let himself wander back in time and try to regain something - something comforting, but Mike. I don't know. Anna will be pissed.

Now they're going to get some time alone. Kind of. But the twins seem to still be young enough that they sleep a lot.

Update soon :) I'm curious to see how it will all work out.

Chapter 6

I really loved the part with Mike looking through his lyrics notebook. Every bit of that was great - him being embarrassed by the earlier stuff and then seeing Chester's handwriting mixed with his own. Beautiful.

Chester definitely needs to get over the storm phobia though lol I think he was just making an excuse to cuddle with Mike :)

Chapter 5

Mike's going to heart attack out if he's not careful. Seriously, he needs a vacation! A real one lol not just a weekend at Chester's.

I feel super bad for Chester and the kids. How wrong of Talinda to just up and disappear. And then to act like she's never coming back with no explanation or anything. How heartless and cruel.

I love the kids, they're so cute. Especially Tyler.

Chapter 4

Poor Mike, he's so clueless as a father, which is really sad since his kiddo is almost four years old lol I hope he'll pick up some good insights from Chester while they're spending time there. And I'm curious as to where Talinda is. How can she be away on business when she doesn't have a job? lol that would have been my first question, if I was Mike XD

The kids are cute, maybe Chester will give in and let Mike paint something awesome on the walls after all.

Chapter 3

Wow, that's a gutsy move on Anna's part. But who knows, maybe some time with super-dad Chaz will inspire Mike, and show him a better way to balance work and family. It can be a tough combination sometimes. I like how Anna made sure to say she'd be asking Chester if Mike was working while he was supposed to be "learning" - good for her. I wouldn't trust him either.

This is a cute story, even with its sad moments. It's a treat to read so far :)

Chapter 2

Oh my. I feel so bad for Anna. Seriously. She's getting smacked from both sides - as a wife and a parent. It's no fun to feel ignored/taken for granted by the people/person you love the most, and then to see them do the same to your child, it just eats you on the inside.

I can sympathize with her on a lot of levels.

Poor little Otis..how ironic the contrast is between Mike and Chester and how they value their children. I was totally with Anna on the breaker box thing. Desperate people do desperate things and sometimes you have to to get people's attention.

Hey-lo :) I just read the first chapter, and you've got me curious. I feel bad for Chester, obviously things are not right in the Bennington household. I can see where Mike is coming from too, though, with his frustration. Work is work, and you have to draw lines somewhere. But, it seemed Chester's monsters did a good job just the same.

I seriously want pizza now. And coffee.

The part that got me so much was "You were the only one who wouldn't hurt me". So beautiful, it gives this story a lot of heartfelt, affectionate connection. Love it so much, and the relationship between Mike and any child (Otis here) makes me admire him more, a really great man. Update soon my friend

Little Joes in froggie rompers. That was hilarious. I'm glad Chester and Mike work things out. They're the best of friends. Now more than ever they need each other. As for your a/n, I can't really stop you from doing what you want. I love this fic and it'd be great to know how it ends. I really hope you'll continue.
