lmao. Odd, that's often how I feel about the whole Fort Minor brigade, myself.

I really enjoyed this. The speed and progress of the story is well done. I liken the whole thing to drug usage - how there are some bands (or just people in general) who use drugs to numb the pain of whatever shit's going on at the moment. Brad sees that Mike and Chester have some sort of secret that he believes is tearing the band apart, and it seemingly hurts him on a daily basis. But it's not until he learns their secret (firsthand, through his interaction with Rob) that he finds a way to forget what's happening before his eyes, forget the unraveling of the band. Which brings the story to a somewhat (no pun intended) bittersweet end. An end where they live in ignorance and stay together as a band that's not really plugged into the agenda of the band for god knows how long. I liked the end, for the record. It was sort of an anti-climax, having all these crazy things happen, then just ending it with everyone content in their ways with no desire to change. But I like that because it was less expected then perhaps some other ending.

I also liked your use of factual events (the Crank premiere, Chester stepping in for Holly Brook, etc.), or rather, the way you picked certain events and strung them together to create this mystery around the vocalists' closeness. Sometimes, it's just something you gotta do, since Mike and Chester don't give us *nearly* enough material to work with.

oh, i loooved this. I mean i liked the plot and all but i so loved your writing in this one. There was such a beautiful sarcasm following with the narration and it had me moved and laughing. Especially the mike sings like a girl, part.

I loved that we don't get conclusion as to what the secret looks might mean. You leave it with the possibility that it wasn't even that important because Brad found something much better.

Your choice of words is, as always, incredible. But that's just because of your talent to handle characters and emotions.
