Description: The silence that night was deafening, abnormal, and it called forth a rush of adrenaline in his bloodstream. He strained his eyes so much that it hurt him, but couldn’t make out anything but vague silhouettes of tall trees around him. His bare feet were making soft, nearly inaudible thumps on a sordid mess of branches, dirt and decaying leaves as he walked. A gusp of wind whistled over his head, bringing the trees and their dark shadows to life. But the young man was barely aware of his surroundings; his pace was rather fast, and he was moving in a determined manner, his eyes fixed straight ahead on his place of destination.
