So I've been playing Spyro 2 a lot lately, and I can't get past this one guy. So this is also me ranting. And me being slightly loopy from pain meds. It's also my second story ever written from Mike's POV :D Enjoy~

“Goddamn it!” I yelled to absolutly no one. I was being sent back to start after being caught yet again by Agent Zero. This fucker tells me not to follow him, but you have to, because you need to get that damn orb. So you follow him, and you have to hide behind trees so he doesn’t see you. If he sees you, then you have to go back to start. Even if you are behind the tree, but juuuust a little part of you is showing, he smiles and points at you like he’s mental, and then you go back to the very first tree.

This is probably the most stressful task the game requires you to do.

I start once again behind the first tree. I get behind the second one and the third one, and he catches me before I get to the fourth one. I almost throw the controller at the screen but my phone decided to ring instead. I looked over and saw it was Chester. I pressed ‘pause’ and answered to talk to my best friend.

“H’lo?” I asked.

“Mikey! Hi,” Chester said.

“Hey there. ‘Sup?” I balanced my phone between my ear and shoulder and tried to multitask.

“Nothin’ much. Wondering if you were up to anything,” spoke Chester.

“Fuck!” I yelled. I was so close this time. I was behind the fifth tree but ended up running over the edge of the world. “Sorry man, playin’ Spyro.”

Chester giggled. “What’s up with you and that game?”

“It’s fun! Plus it teaches patience. Son of a douchebag!!” Agent Zero caught me after one tree.

Chester laughed again. “Hey is it cool if I chill at your place? I’m getting antsy over here,” he explained.

“Yeah it’s fine. You get to here more weird swears slip from my mouth,” I chuckled.

“Sweet! See ya in a few,” Chester said. He hung up, and I let my phone drop onto the beanbag I was sitting in. I kept trying to get this orb, but Agent Zero kept catching me. Another thing that pisses me off about him is that when you first meet him, he says “I’m a secret agent!” It’s like “Yeah. Very secret.”

Chester showed up about 15 minutes later, and he walked in as I screamed at the television once again. “Still can’t get past, huh?” Chester asked.

“Nope. I’ve been trying forever now. Bitch muffins!” Agent Zero got me. Again.

“You should probably take a break dude,” Chester started, pulling up a beanbag chair to sit next to me.

“But I’m soooo close,” I half whined. Why the hell was I whining? I’m a grown man playing an ancient video game. Why am I defending myself?

“Then at least let me try,” Chester held out his hand for the controller. I handed it to him reluctantly and he gave it a few tries.

“Okay, so all you have to do is get to the hideout and not get caught?” Chester questioned.

“Exactly. It has a difficulty meter of four out of five stars, but it’s more like four million out of one star,” I explained.

Chester got to the third tree before getting caught. He tried another few times, but he got caught every single time.

“I’m going to kill this bastard when he sleeps,” Chester mumbled as he entered another attempt. He got past the fifth tree, and right before he got the orb, Agent motherfucking Zero caught him.

“SON OF A BITCH!” Chester shouted, arching his arm back to throw the controller. I grabbed his arm to keep him from breaking the device “Is this even possible?!” he asked me. Chester looked pretty cute when he got pissed off.

“Yeah, I’ve seen video after video of people doing it. Also remember, this is a Winter Tundra world, so everything here is harder,” I reminded the older man. There are three main worlds in the game – Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra. Summer Forest has the easiest levels, as Winter Tundra has the hardest.

“Those people deserve fucking medals,” Chester said as he tried again. He got so far, and then failed yet again.

“You do this. I simply can’t,” he said, handing me the controller. I tried for a few minutes but I simply couldn’t get past Agent Zero.

Then, a miracle happened.

I got past.

I was able to sneak behind Agent Zero and follow him to his hideout. The orb bounced across the screen and into my possession.

“YES!!” we screamed. We both jumped out of the beanbags as if we just watched a touchdown for our favorite team. I leaned over to give Chester a hug, but he instead placed his hands on my face and kissed me.

Yeah. He did.

His lips were small but sweet. I was completely shocked and stepped back just a little. Not a lot, but enough for him to pull back from the kiss. We just stood there in silence before he spoke.

“Dude, I-I’m sorry. I got over excited,” he apologized. His face was as red as Agent Zero’s ponytail.

“It’s alright. I mean, you did have every right to get excited,” I mumbled back. “So, you, uh, like me, then?” I stumbled to get the words out of my mouth.

“Uh, yeah, kinda sorta...” he whispered. His eyes were fixed on the floor. I smiled and went to hug him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him close.

“Me too,” I smiled. I pulled him into another kiss and our mouths moved in harmony. His tongue poked my mouth and I granted him entrance. Our tongues melted together once they touched. After an eternity, we broke away and smiled once again.

Chester leaned his head on my shoulder. “So. May I have the honor of calling you my boyfriend?”

I giggled at the way he worded his request. “Only if I can call you my boyfriend as well,” I answered.

“Sounds good to me,” Chester placed a kiss on my shoulder. He then leaned over and picked up the controller. Chucking, he placed himself dead in front of Agent Zero. We were still in his hideout, and Chester started breathing fire.

“What are you dong?” I laughed.

“Trying to set him on fire! Die, Zero, die!!” he shouted to the screen, pressing the circle button repeatedly.

Laughing, I wrapped my arms around him from behind and watched him attempt to kill Agent Zero.

He’s so cute when he’s trying to kill someone that you can't hurt.
