All For A Good Cause by BichosDaFazenda

The Great Idea.

Another fic, yay! I decided I’m going to delete the other one because I really don’t like it, so I kinda make up with this, instead, and, in my opinion, waaay more readable. I hope you enjoy it, and well, don’t get mad at me okay ? ._.

Disclaimer: Don’t own then, never happen.

I woke up to the annoying sound coming from my already open window, and realised I was alone in bed. My vision didn’t spot any human soul and his warmth no longer heated my half naked body. Without him, I felt cold, vulnerable; emotions I couldn’t take no more, so I let out a frustrated groan as I placed my stripped feet in the floor, still feeling sleepy. ‘He must’ve let really early’ I though, after my eyes spotted the alarm clock, which dialled 8 AM, and made way to the bathroom, to refresh myself from the previous night.

The mirror reflected my tired expression, I still appeared like I haven’t slept for days, although I couldn’t help but showing a content grin, as the memories of our meeting filled my mind.

‘Oh Rob, harder … please …. Harder..’

We only met for a few days, and already made a click. I’m not saying it was love at first sight, hell no, me personally think that’s a bunch of crap, but we needed each other for certain activities, so we come around, eventually. Plus, he was a nice guy to hang out: shy, polite, gorgeous, and those qualities fitted in my category in absolute perfection. And he admits (blushing) that my relaxed, cocky attitude is very overwhelming, such as myself. I mean, who wouldn’t think that too? We were complete opposites in everything imaginable, and that’s what makes our ‘relationship’ outstanding.

And the sex, of course.

I finished doing my routine chorus in the bathroom, to lazy to put some clouts on, at last realising I was hungry because the last decent meal I had was yesterday’s lunch, where my mom was still at home. She has an complicated job, the one who keep her from coming every night at home, spending time with her family, the same one who eventually made her miss birthdays of mine, every now or then. Unfortunately, it was the only way she could provide for us, since my dad is the enormous son of a bitch he is, who abandoned her, right before I was even born and I understood her, so I never made such a big deal out of it. I resent it, it was true, but what could I do? She’s still a good mother, she never disrespected me, she was kind to me, responsible and I realised that she loved me when she skipped my 6th birthday for night shifts, and the next day I caught her crying on my grammas’ shoulder, sorrowfully and scared that I didn’t love her anymore. The whole scene itself made me cry right away, as she lock her hurtful gaze with mine, immediately wrapping her arms around me and telling me how important I was to her life.

And for that, I was thankful.

I look around in the kitchen; everything seemed the same as it was since they both left, except a note that was glued to the fridge. I assume it wasn’t from my mom, she hadn’t comeback since yesterday (otherwise I wouldn’t bring Rob here), so it was definitely from him. Picking it and a piece of bread, which immediately I shove it down my throat, it said:

Chester,

I’m sorry I didn’t wake you up, I had to leave soon. My mom was starting to worry about me, and I had to get home before she woke up, otherwise I would be screwed. You just seemed so peaceful sleeping, like an angel, that I didn’t wanted to wake you. I hope Ill see you again, and last night, was unbelievably amazing. You’re amazing, and I hope you never forget that.

Rob

I couldn’t help but chuckle at his own sweetness and innocence. Yes, we might not be dating, quite yet, but it was visible that he liked me a little bit more then a colourful friendship. He cared for me like no one would, and gave me the attention I didn’t have, so it was enjoyable. And suuuper cute. Especially when he complements me, blushing. Which he did like one thousand times while we spent quality time together, and I loved every second of it.

Hey, I’m a gay guy, I need way more attention then regular people, okay?

Finishing my poor, poor meal, I also noticed I had a message in my answering machine, which red button was blinking repeatedly. It showed three missed calls and one message, damn, I didn’t hear anything? It’s not like my room is that far away from the kitchen, just the stairs, and the close doors and ….. ooooh, and probably our moans who echoed the insides of my bedroom walls prevent my ears from hearing anything else … Damn, must not think about it, or … Shit, to late. My boxers already showed a painful erection, which was quite impossible to get ride off. ‘Ugh, maybe I should call Rob again …’ I smirked, licking my lips, resting in the wall in front of the machine, ‘…After this message.’

*click* [Chester honey? Its mom, listen, I’m so sorry, I didn’t went home yesterday, some people needed my help here at the hospital after they suffered an accident, and they showed up late, so some doctors asked help from all the staff working there, including me. I hope you had a good meal, son, don’t order junk food; I left some turkey of yesterdays lunch in a recipient inside the fridge. Oh, and by the way, grandma says hi to you from the hospital. She says she misses you deeply and don’t forget about her birthday, next week, all right? She says she wants to see you. I got to go, honey, I love you.]

How could I forget her birthday? It was the day I she was expecting every year just to see me and my mom, in her house, back in Arizona. We used to spend all summers there, when I was a kid, listening to her incredible stories, about the world war II, or how did she met the man who went to the moon, or even saying that it was her idea of inventing the mini skirts, back in the 50’s. Of course they were all lies, but I still enjoyed the long, interesting conversations we shared, inside the tree house my grandfather build for me, before he died. Since I was theire only grandchild, they treated me with such tenderness, like I was some sort of precious object they wanted to preserve forever, protecting me from all the evil the world brought and teaching me how to be strong, physical and mentally, if I wanted to survive. For my despair, they couldn’t keep the promise, and my grandfather died of a heart attack, December 1994. It was a tremendous shock, and I remember I spent all days crying, wishing, praying for him to come back, hoping this was all just a nightmare I was living.

Soon, I realised that it wasn’t. And now, my grandma, the one I thought it would last forever, is in this moment recovering from a severe cancer that attacked her lungs, and is cure required a lot of money that neither me or my mom had. She was attending in the hospital my mom worked, so she had the privilege to assist her in everything she could, during all the exhausting months, since she was diagnosed.

And despite all the pain she was putting trough, she always thought of me. Me, her only grandchild, her only legacy, her only hope.

So, this year, is going to be different. I will give her the best present that she needs. I will pay for that surgery she so desperately need it, I wanna give her the hope she so desperately is waiting for; be her hero, just like she had been mine for all these years.

For that, I needed money and I knew exactly where to get it from. I run to the telephone and dialled the number which was carefully saved in a small black book, where my mom keeps her important, urgent calls. ….. A woman answered me.

‘Hello, may I help you?’

‘Hello, Mrs. Shinoda, its Chester Bennington, your neighbour. I was wondering if you’re still interested in finding a babysitter for tonight?’

The end of first chapter! Nah, don’t worry, Chester ISNT going to take care of Mike, oh hell no! Im planning something different, I promise. (: And sorry for the bournington scene above, I had to put Chester in a relationship with someone, so I thought; why not Rob? Besides, this IS going to end as Bennoda, so its not that important.
