a short story that comes from the unknown territory of my mind.XD

hope you'll like it.

Chester was sitting on the cliff, he was on the edge, the sight was so beautiful, just as the man he used to come here with, the sun was setting, painting the sky in a pinkish, reddish crossover of colors.

The tears had stopped falling, his lips had stopped shivering, it would be over soon. He wouldn't have to stand one more day without the person he loved more than life itself. Rob, he had picked him up and carried him to the top, no matter how low Chester first was. When he first met the drummer he was into drugs, he used to hang out with dangerous guys, he used to land in hospital because of his obvious detachment from life, but he went to this audition, soon after his depart from grey daze, and he met the best thing that could ever fall on him in his messy life, true love, something he didn't believe in.

The band worked out quite well, all the members learned him that the world had more to offer than a sack of powder, and he learned to care again, to hope, trust and even love. He loved linkin park, but there was something he loved even more, somebody, the only person he wanted to wake with every morning. Chester closed his eyes as a faint wind stroked his face, softly, just like he used to do. A smile stretched his lips as he was able to hear the voice he had came to love so much, the voice which used to comfort him everytime he would be upset, the voice he heard whispering in his ear so many times during passionate nights, he could feel the large hands on his body, large and soft, and reassuring, hands that could be so firm and strong while performing, hitting the drum. The singer felt tears burning his hazel eyes, he had already cry so much, screamed, begged for him to come back, but he wouldn't, he wouldn't hold his hands in his anymore, he wouldn't sleep in the strong arms, kiss the muscular chest. A sob escaped him, god, he thought he couldn't cry anymore.

It was incredible that such a tall, muscular body was the most gentle Chester had ever known. The drummer was all his life.

Chester had died the second the car had hurt the drummer, he was there on the parking lot where the tour bus was parked, his lover was smiling, he was crossing the road, soon he would have been hugging chester, but the car came from nowhere and had killed the drummer instantaneously, Chester had run, collapsed on the ground next to the man he loved, the guys were following behind, calling for help.

He would never forget the voice of the ambulanceman, telling him there was nothing to do anymore, that rob was already gone. Chester had wanted to hit him, he yelled at him between sobs, begged him to do something as Mike was holding him back, sobbing himself.

This had happen a week ago, a week, that was all he could stand to live without his soulmate, Rob had made him gave up on drugs and he had became chester's addiction instead of them, but now he was gone there was no point in staying here, it was just too painful.

The tears eventually stopped and Chester took a small blade out of his pocket, he grabbed the chain with the silver ring that rob had given him and closed his hand tightly around it he brought it to his mouth and placed a chast kiss on the cold witness of their love. He then pressed the blade on his wrist, and he cut, never before a pain was so relieving to him, he cut straight to the vein and while he still wasn't numb he cut the vein of his other wrist as well. Blood was now trickling down his arms but it was soothing, that meant taht soon it wouldn't feel pain anymore, he would join the one that never should have left him. Feeling a soft numbness wrapping around his body he managed to lay down on the grass, he took back the silver ring in his pale hand and held it to his heart as his other hand was resting on the floor, next to his head. He wasn't worried to leave, the guys could find another singer, if they wouldn't wish to, well mike could sing, he wasn't confident about his voice but chester was convinced that he could do it, and nobody could ever miss him more than he missed his lover. He felt his eyes beginning to close by theirselves and he looked at the sky a last time, it would never be as pretty to watch without Rob beside him. He let a soft sight and whispered:

-Wait for me, baby, i'll be with you soon, we'll remain together eternally.

With that he closed his eyes for the last time in his life and fell in a comforting darkness as death was wrapping her arms around him.

-Chester, open your eyes baby, i'm here.

Chester heard a faint voice through the heavy darkness, and it slowly begun to be replaced by a soft white light .

He openned his eyes and a kiss was pressed to his forehead .

-here, it's okay now. I won't leave you anymore.

-rob... chester whispered.

He had made it, he had found him, no matter where they were he was there with him.

He wrapped his arms around his lover's neck and burried his face in the strong neck.

The drummer's arms found their place around his body, holding him to his chest.

-You're not leaving anymore now are you? asked chester, almost afaid of the answer.

-No, i'm not. I'm with you, for good. We'll never be separate again. I promis.

Chester smiled to him and their lips crashed as they kissed, their tongues meeting and stroking each other.

-Where are we? asked Chester. He wasn't scared, somehow this place felt right.

-I guess you can call it a corridor. Together we're going to go to where we belong now.

-As long as i'm with you it'll be okay.

-It'll be wonderful babe, it's not like we're dead, it's more like we're gone to another world, where we live just like we used to, but a place where money doesn't exist, there are less people than on earth, I don't think everyone goes here.

-So it's a kind of heaven ?

-Yeah, it's close to it, but anywhere is heaven with you babe, and i don't intend to let you go for a second.

-You better not. Answered his lover.

Quietly they intertwined their fingers and begun to walk toward a pretty door, made in silver, with roses climbing on it.
