Married Men Can Cheat
Brad's Plan.
Brad Delson was never the jealous type of man; he was very hardworking, intelligent, and competitive. Things seemed to go down the drain for him just a couple of months ago as he met his big boss, Mike Shinoda.
A couple of months ago, Brad's ex-boss, Joe Hahn, announced that Mike Shinoda, the big boss, will be visiting from San Francisco to see how work is going down here in LA. Brad was given the assignment to tend to Shinoda, give him anything he needs. However, his co-worker, Chester Bennington, was given the same job. Brad was excited; he was looking forward to the arrival of his big boss. He thought this was going to be a great opportunity to get close to the boss and hint on a promotion. But things started going down the drain when Brad opened his mouth a little too soon--
"What's wrong, Brad?" whispered Chester.
"We REALLY need to think about how to entertain him.
"Why?"
"He has one of the hugest names in Warner Bros. This might just be your chance at a promotion."
Of course, when Brad said those words, he obviously meant it was his chance at a promotion. He was foolish, he was thinking out loud. He never meant to give Chester that idea; he simply wanted to use it for himself. But that's when things started getting worse.
As days progressed, Brad began to realize some fishy things that were occurring on this floor building; he began hearing noises coming from Hahn's office, he constantly saw Chester going inside. Something had to be done; he had to go and investigate.
Brad decided to walk in a couple of times, see what was going on. Of course, his theory was correct-- Chester and Mike were having an affair. It didn't take much for Brad to realize this, the signs were right in front of him: The way they kissed that one night at the Roxy, the way they'd look at each other as if they were long lost lovers. The way Chester would sneak into Hahn's office a couple of times a day... It all fit.
But then Brad became a little devious; he knew what was coming. Mike was going to fall for Chester and give him the promotion Brad had always wanted. And there was no way Brad was going to let that happen.
He decided to corner Chester via instant messaging, thinking it was much more dramatic that way. He told Chester that he knew what was going on, that Mike was going to give him the promotion, and then, he did the unthinkable-- He told Chester that if a promotion is thrown at him, he will have to deny it.
He didn't care if Chester was hurt, he could care less. He needed that promotion ten times more. Brad was married and expecting a child; he lived in a nice little house in Beverly Hills, catering to his wonderful wife. He needed the money more than anything to support his family. He did his job ten times better than Chester ever did yet Chester's getting a promotion thrown at him for sex? Brad wasn't going to let that happen.
As soon as Mike Shinoda left Los Angeles, Brad was a happy man again. He knew Chester was going to be down in the dumps, but he didn't care. But all wasn't going well in Brad Delson-land. Hahn had held yet another meeting the following Monday morning, announcing that he has been given a higher title and they will be having another boss. And that new boss was Mike Shinoda.
Brad was livid; he knew this was done on purpose. He knew Chester was going to be Mike's secretary, and it angered him more than anything. He wasn't going to stand for this, he needed to do something about it.
But as months progressed, he found himself becoming more nonchalant and green with envy. He saw Chester go into Mike's office every single day, he heard slight moans coming from the office every single day. And just to be a bastard, he'd walk in sometimes, announcing that there was work to be done. Brad had seen it all; the two naked men on top of each other, making love, neglecting their jobs. They didn't care who saw them at this point; they had gone public, the entire floor knew of what they've done, and no one dared to say anything. Some thought it was cute, others thought it was down right disgusting, but Brad... Brad thought it was unjust.
Brad recalled back a couple of months ago, the day after Shinoda came to visit. Chester and he had been talking...
“It’s not really a good morning today, is it?”
“Says you. You managed to pull off a nice look today. Would have never expected you to cover up the hangover.”
“Stop hitting on me.” Chester joked.
“Hah, you wish. I’m married, remember?”
“Married men can cheat.”
“Not me."
Married men can cheat. It then occurred to Brad; two can play at this game. As much as it pained him, Brad was going to have to charm Shinoda as well. He didn't know how he was going to pull it off, but he needed to try. It never really occurred to him if he was bi-sexual or not, but he thought if he set his mind to it, he could totally win the heart of his boss.
Somehow, he was going to get this done. Somehow, he was going to get his promotion.
Yay :) See? I made a sequel. I know it's probably not what everyone had hoped for, but it totally got into my mind and I think I could go somewhere with it. And for once, this is totally impromptu, I'm making it up as I go along. I still have no idea what's going to happen!
