Pushing Me Away
Flashback
A/N: Well, I suppose it’s only right for me to join LPfiction, since everyone on my Rp board is here. I decided to write an angsty love fic, so it may be a little depressing. I will throw in some comedy, though. Never fear! Anyway, please read and review and try to support my emotional status.
Disclaimer: I do not own the members of Linkin Park (someday I will =]) or any of the characters in this story. None of this ever happened as far as I know.
Chapter 1 - Flashback
“Mike, why are you doing this?” The voice on the other end of the line was shaky.
“Because I don’t love you anymore.” Well, at least I’m not lying.. “I can’t be with you.”
“Why not? After all this, you’re just going to throw everything away?” The voice increased in pitch and volume.
“I’m not throwing anything away. I’m sorry. It’s just I don’t feel it anymore. I don’t feel anything anymore.”
My voice trailed off at the end of the last sentence. Please stop dragging this out.
“I just…I thought we were meant to be.” The voice became quiet again.
“Well, I guess you were wrong. I have to go now. Goodbye, Anna.”
I hung up the phone, somehow feeling lighter. I still had a lot on my mind, but she needed to go. It was too much. I had too much going on for me. I didn’t love her anymore. I did love her before, but the flame went out. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t feel anything for her anymore. Besides, I had my eye on someone else now.

“Mike, get your ass up!!”
“Wha..huh?”
Mike blinked his eyes sleepily, not entirely sure where he was. Suddenly, someone started jumping on the bed he was sleeping in.
“Wake up! Wake up!” The person continued jumping.
“Jesus, Chester! Couldn’t you have given me a nicer wake up call?”
Mike rubbed his eyes sleepily, and glared at Chester. Chester flashed his goofy smile, his lip ring gleaming in the light.
“Not really. Now get you ass up! I’m fucking starving as hell.”
He proceeded to get off the bed, instead falling flat on his face when his foot got tangled in the sheet, much to Mike’s amusement.
“Nice one, bozo.”
Mike got out of the bed and helped him up. He was used to Chester’s antics by now, since he had known him for about 5 years. He had been staying at Chester’s for the past few days, since they were going on tour next week. Anna was out of town, so Mike decided to hang with the guys. (A/N: just so you know, Mike and Anna are not married and Sam doesn’t exist.)
The guys had known each other for years. Mike and Brad practically grew up together in SoCal. They met Rob in high school. Mike met Joe in art school and Brad was Phoenix’s roommate in college. They were a crazy bunch to begin with, but the cherry on top was Chester. The guys had met him during college, and instantly loved his crazy personality. They got the idea to form a band a few years ago and needed a singer. Well, they found Chester. They were big now. Like, really BIG. They formed Linkin Park, one of the biggest rock bands today.
The guys were the best of friends and not many people knew this, but most of them were gay. Not giggly, lisping, ‘queer eye for the straight guy’ gay, just primarily interested in the male sex and really horny gay. Mike was the only straight one, which was fine with the guys. Chester was bi and kind of slutty, in a funny way. Brad and Rob had been a couple for more than a year and Dave and Joe were just fuck buddies. The guys got along extremely well with each other, considering their varied personalities.
“I’m hungry. What time is it?”
“Like 10:30 or something..I don’t know.”
Chester threw some clothes at him, obviously impatient to leave. Mike dressed slowly, intentionally trying to piss off Chester. And he did.
“Holy crap Mike! Could you move any slower?!”
He bounced on his feet impatiently. The phone then rang. Chester walked across the room and picked up the cordless phone.
"Hello?" Mike heard muffled sounds come from the receiver. He guessed it was one of the guys. Chester hung up and stared at him.
"Can you move a little faster? We have to meet the guys at IHOP."
As soon as Mike had put on his shoes and grabbed a hat, Chester practically dragged him out the door.
Mike watched his friend as he walked in front of him. He suddenly stopped. Whoa, what’s wrong with me? He couldn’t help but stare at Chester. There was suddenly something about him. Something…he couldn’t explain it. But he liked the feeling. It was different from any emotion he had ever felt before, though he had no idea what he was feeling. I love this guy..wait..no no no! I love Anna, not Chester. Anna. Anna.
