Ugh. This was heart-wrenching... Hit so hard home... :S I have said this to someone before- I can write that stuff but reading is always harder. So, sorry for my crappy review, just got emotional. Loved it anyway <3 And Rob <3

Hi there, thank you for your reviews of "this story is about gay porn". I hadn't actually read this story, you must have me confused with a different writer, but, I decided to check this one out because you mentioned it to me.

Wow! The way you wrote Brad's reaction in the beginning, that was so realistic and powerful. And when Joe was screaming at him to calm down, but they obviously couldn't calm down, what an incredible way to show what it could have been like for them on that day.

The friendship between Rob and Brad, you illustrated that beautifully. When Brad hugged Rob, it brought tears to my eyes. They obviously care about each other, and want to look after one another.

Thank you for sharing this amazing story :)

Chapter: 1

The day I found out, I remembered breaking down while i was speeding down the highway. I was so angry and hurt and confused, all these emotions attacking at once. Looking back, I am so thankful I didn't end up in an accident, or worse, hit another driver.

This was hard to read. I took multiple breaks in between. You captured how I felt (and still feeling) about Chester's passing. But the ending was beautifully written. Hope is a rare gift. Treasure it. Thank you for sharing this with us.

This was really well done. I loved how it ended on a note of hope and looked to the future.

I give you credit for writing in English, too. Your writing is very clean and easy to understand. We're happy to have you here. :)

That was intense... And I was able to relate to some of the situations you described, I went to some of the stages as well. Feels got to read that someone is also thinking about all of it the way I do.

And I enjoyed to read about all the sides: Brad being hurt, his friends being hurt about what happened but also concerned and the wife helping out as good as they can. That was really nice, to get a complete picture that is not only focusing on one person but also on the effects on everyone else.

I also think that your writing gets better and better in the course of the story - it gets more into a really nice flow. In the beginning the style is a bit faltering but with every short episode there is so much progress! That's great to see!

Welcome! These are really hard for me to read, so I apologize if I don't have much to say... it's just so hard to think of what the guys all went through in the immediate aftermath of Chester's passing, so stories like these really get to me. But, I understand how therapeutic they can be to write, so I'm glad that you did put your thoughts down! Thank you for sharing with us!

Oh man. This was hard to read. Written well, but tough on the heart! We all miss Chester so much, and I know there are a lot of us (myself included) that have come here to help with the healing process through writing and reading and just being in community with each other. So welcome to the community. This was such a powerful piece and I want to say thank you for sharing it with us. Reading the post Chester stories are hard, but they help in their own way.

I love how the guys are all there for each other, and the wives as well. Joe waking up in the middle of the night with a bad feeling that something had happened and then acting on that feeling and not dismissing it, was great. I love that sort of thing. It shows how connected the guys all are.

Self-harm is always a hard one to write and read, but I know so many people struggle with it, and I can appreciate the realism it can bring. When Elisa, Dave and Joe were all pounding on the bathroom door and then they opened it to find him on the floor like that, my heart stopped. Gosh. I just kept thinking no, we can't lose another one!

I'm so relieved he was okay in the end and looking towards the future a bit brighter. I adore the friendship with Rob, and even though there was violence in there, they managed to come back together to move forward as friends. As a team. As a family.

Again, thank you for sharing this with us.
