I don't know why I haven't left a review for this before. I read it weeks ago. Anyway, it is really good even if someone dies. It's orginal and flows really well, good stuff.

I really liked this. The way it jumped back and forth between memories and present day was pulled off well. I had no clue where this was headed, either, and it was a grand take on the theme. The repetition at the end was an appreciated touch, because I wouldn't have gotten it as quickly, haha. Either way, this was really good. :]

If I were Brad, I would be glad Mike ends my life. Maybe that's why I don't see this fic has much murder connotation. Nevertheless it's a fic that can stir people's emotion.I love it, man.

i loved that. from the way there was so much heartfelt emotion in it, to the way it was so realistic, to the way you darted from past to presence through mike's memories - this fic really touched me.
and also, the ending was especially touching - to be in that situation must fucking hurt so much, and the simplicity of mike's actions and the way that he simply pulled a cord to end things and the way that this in fact seems simple but wasn't a simple choice? i loved (:
(gold star to you if this review makes any sense.. i loved it is the simple version =D)

I had a feeling the story would revolve around this...particular method of death, when I read your author's note. I liked it. Everything seems to fit into place, even though you're covering a vast expanse of time - as Brad is dying, it seems appropriate that Mike reflects back on their friendship. You show the importance of Brad in Mike's life, when Mike tells Chester they wouldn't even be together if it weren't for Brad. He doesn't mean for it to hurt, but it comes across a bit mean. I feel for Chester a lot in this, as he has to watch his significant other pine for an grieve over someone he most likely loved.
My favorite part of this was the structure. As I said with shinobi's story, structure can really enhance a story, and having these separate parts that skip around in time really make this more dramatic.
Good work, thanks for posting. :)
