I loved this story. <3

I love this so much, it's beautiful. It...It just leaves me speechless.

This is one ogf the most real stories I've read in a long time. How it really feels to be abused, and the seemingly contradictory feelings of the abused that make them stay. It's very powerful and deeply involving in such a tight, tautly written story. Beautiful!

I can not believe that it was just a few pages. I'm still so caught up in that story. The way you wrote the emotions, especially chester's was mind-blowing. So, real. I could actually feel his pain. And before I start crying now again over the perfect that is this story I better stop. I suck at giving reviews, cause they can never quite captured what I'm thinking but I think you get my point.

You know, I read this over at your LJ the day after you posted it, but I found it difficult to review it... What, exactly, could I say about a piece that was so drastically real to me so soon after consuming it? The reason this standalone juts out in my mind as one of the best pieces of fiction I've read is that it hits close to home; I've witnessed a lot of the women in my life (aunts, cousins, my mom) experience something a lot like what Chester went through in this story: serious physical abuse that is so obviously tormenting and devastating. And yet he stayed; he wanted to know that somehow, through all the bruises and shattered bones and nights spent alone crying, he'd meant something to the one person who could show no remorse or care. It's very skilled, the way this was written; very much like an account that could be given by a survivor of such a situation. I loved this from beginning to end; not only did you manage to incorporate all of your excellent (and famous) language talents, you managed to do it and tell a moving story at the same time. I thought the ending was slightly weaker than it should have been, honestly, but it still fits this perfectly. Definitely a favorite. You wouldn't mind if I became the president of your fan club, would you? ;)

That made my day! Excellent! Usually the endings to sad stories leave me feeling as if I'd been robbed. This was perfect. I salute you ;)!

I had to review on here also. I just can't get this story out of my head and on a little emo trip here, I re-read it whilst listening to 'mary' by the scissor sisters.. Yeah, I'm strange.

Awww, that was sad but cute, I liked the ending!

Yet again, another beautiful tormenting piece. Really wonderful. Every mark Chester felt, the reader felt. I was reading it in English. It made me cry. I Never cry. They sent me to the counciller...

that was awsome...only a couple times was i confused..but i got it...great job..so glad brad went to court n got n troub...so glad chester is happy again...awsome job adios
